Garden City, KS-Garden City Volleyball Coach Jacque Matula sent two more players to four-year schools.
On Friday, middle back Ashley Webb and Milica Vejnovic signed national letters of intent to play at the next level.
Webb, who is coming off a sensational season where she had 172 kills and 65 digs, signed with Fort Hays State.
"It was just a perfect fit for me," she said. "I liked the feeling there when I went on my visit. And I wanted to stay in Kansas."
Webb has come a long way since arriving on campus two years ago from the Bahamas. During her freshman season, Webb recorded just 31 kills and 19 digs.
"She (Webb) has grown so much," Matula said. "It's a testament to the hard work that she put in. She was one of our better players last season."
Webb's teammate Vejnovic signed to play at Chowan University, an NCAA D-II school in North Carolina.
"Athletically and academically they offered me what I wanted," Vejnovic said. "And I love that part of the country."
Vejnovic is a Serbian native, who spent two years with Garden City. She redshirted during her sophomore season.
"It really opened my eyes and allowed me to improve," Vejnovic said. "And I think I've done just that."
Her head coach agreed.
"It's hard for any athlete to sit out a year," Matula said. "But she (Vejnovic) handled it very well and really improved her game."
Matula credits the year away from competition as crucial for Vejnovic's development.
"She worked really hard this past year," Matula added. "She became more consistent, and will be a great addition to Chowan's program."
Vejnovic has three years of eligibility remaining.
