Bio

Mike Salazar begins his first season as the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Garden City Community College. 

The El Paso, TX native, played two seasons at Midland Community College where he was a two-time NJCAA All-American. He won five tournament championships during his two seasons in Midland.  

After Midland, Salazar transferred to Grand Canyon University where he was an All-Western Athletic Conference second-team selection in 2021. He also grabbed two individual Division-I regular-season NCAA Tournament titles.  

Following his collegiate career, Salazar played professionally on the Mexican Tour for two years while also working at Congressional Country Club in Washington D.C.
