Broncobuster rodeo closes first semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State
Alva, OK-Both the Broncbuster men's and women's teams finished in seventh place a thte Northwestern Oklahoma State rodeo over the weekend.
Justin Wright had a Great weekend by Winning 3rd in the Long Go of Team Roping (5.1 seconds) with his brother Jacob who attends OPSU. They were 5th in the Short Go (11.5 seconds), and finished 4th in the Average. Wright also made the Short Go in the Steer Wrestling by finishing 7th in the Long Go with a 5.3 second run. He unfortunately took a No Time in the Short Go, and finished 12th in the Average. This was only Wright's second time entering Steer Wrestling.
Brady Irvine Won 6th in the Long Go of Saddle Bronc Riding; he then took 1st in the Short Go, and finished 1st in the Average. Frontier Rodeo Company, who was selected as PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year eight times, provided the Bucking stock for the NWOSU Rodeo. Only 2 of the Short Go Saddle Bronc riding contestants covered their horses. Irvine moved into 3rd place in the Regional Standings for Saddle Bronc Riding.
Jezimay Watson continued her streak of qualifying for every Short Go so far by winning 5th in the Long Go of Goat Tying, a small bobble in the Short Go resulted in 9th place in that round, and 9th place overall in the Average.
