Rodeo teams compete in Fort Scott
The Men's Rodeo Team finished in 6th place at the Ft. Scott Community College Rodeo, while the Women's Team took 7th.
Trevor Meier led the way by Splitting 6th, 7th, and 8th in the Long Go of Steer Wrestling with a 5.3 second run. He unfortunately missed his steer in the Short Go, and (took a horn to his face just above his eye, and therefore received some stitches for his effort)! He ended up 8th in the Average.
Trevor also made the Short Go in the Team Roping by finishing 10th place in the Long Go with a 10.0 second run with former Broncbuster Colton Bond (who Rodeos at Coffeyville now), they had a 6.5 second run in the Short Go to split 1st & 2nd, and ended up 3rd in the Average.
Brandt Walton teamed up with former Broncbuster Bryson Carroll (OPSU) to split 2nd & 3rd in the Long Go of Team Roping, Brandt unfortunately missed in the Short Go, BUT they still ended up 5th in the Average.
Jaylyn Hash and his Team Roping partner Kade Harland from Pratt Community College had a 10.1 second run to make the Short Go in the 11th place slot. (12 come back to the Short Go in every event now)
Kade unfortunately missed, so they took a No Time, and finished 11th in the Average.
Jezimay Watson led the Womens Team by Winning 2ndplace in the Long Go of Goat Tying with a 7.4 second run. She had trouble flanking, and tying her goat in the Short Go and had a 9.4 second run finishing 9th in the Short Go, and 8th in the Average.
Kiley Slavin Won 5th in the Barrel Racing Long Go with a 14.58 second run, but unfortunately hit a barrel in the Short Go to end up 10th in the Round, and Finish 9thoverall in the Average.
The Men's Team currently sits in 9th place in the Region Standings, while the Women's Team is in 7th.
