Broncbuster men compete at Friends University
Wichita, KS-The Broncbuster men's track team competed in the 2019 Friends University Spring Open.
Brett Oden had the highest individual finish for Garden City, placing fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.31 meters. It was his personal best by two feet.
Clyde King was 11th in the 200 meter-dash, coming in at 21.93 seconds. He took eighth in the 400.
Jonathan Smith took 14th in the 100 meters, clocking a time of 10.97 seconds, and Jae Southerland was 18th in the 110-meter hurdles, coming in at 17.11 seconds.
As a team, Garden City came in 23rd. Cloud County was first, followed by Hutchinson, Friends and Emporia State.
Garden City next heads to Lawrence for the Kansas Relays on April 17.
