Men qualify two for nationals at Jet Relays
Fort Worth, TX-The Garden City men's track team produced two national qualifiers during the Jet Relays at Clark Stadium.
David Enns took home the title in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 194-07, surpassing the national qualifying mark. His teammate, Elijah Murrison came in second, notching 181-06 on his throw, which also qualified him for nationals.
The men's 4x100 team of Jonathan Smith, Ja'Brionne Bacon, Anthony Gamble and Clyde King had a big day, timing out of 42 seconds, good for a fourth-place. Jae Southerland was ninth in the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles, and Brett Oden took eighth in the shotput with a throw of 43-11.25.
The Broncbusters are back in action on Friday, March 22 at the Fearless Champion Open in Lubbock, TX.
