Broncbusters ink Marli Greaves
Garden City, KS- Garden City Community College Head Soccer Coach Scott Westbrook has signed his third recruit of the year. Marli Greaves comes to Garden City from Trinidad & Tobago. The speedy, 6'3" international should make an immediate impact on the Broncbusters program.
"I'm very pleased that Marli has decided to sign with Garden City Community College," Westbrook said. "Marli is big kid who can help us on both sides of the field. At 6-3, Marli can step in and do a great job on both the defensive side of the field, as well as the offensive side. I can see him start up front alongside 6'2" forward Abdoulaye Agyen. Together they would be a handful for our opponents to handle. However, Marli has the ability to come in and help anchor our defense as well. Only time will tell as to where this individual will play."
Marli began playing soccer when he was 11. He has played in Trindad, Barbados and the United States.
"His best playing days are ahead of him," Westbrook said. "Age 11 is a little later to start to playing soccer than most kids, but Marli has picked the sport up quickly and will be a force to be reckoned with."
Greaves is looking forward to the opportunity.
"I'm looking forward to creating a legacy at Garden City Community College," he said. "I won't settle for mediocracy."
