Emeriau signs with Midwestern State
Garden City, KS-Garden City men's soccer player Remi Emeriau signed a national letter of intent to play at Midwestern State University, a premier NCAA Division-II program.
"Remi is a special player," Broncbuster Head Coach Scott Westbrook said. "He not only has a nose for the goal, but he has developed into a field general."
Emeriau scored a team-best 10 goals during his sophomore campaign, including two matches with two or more (Hesston twice). He finished with a team-high 20 points.
"I'm sure Remi will add to the overall success at Midwestern State," Westbrook said. "He can dictate the pace of the game from any position on the field."
Last season, Midwestern State finished 16-1-3, eventually losing to Colorado Mesa on penalty kicks in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
"We are excited to have Remi joining MSU and our soccer family here," Midwestern State Coach Michael Meachum said. "The most important thing about Remi is that he fits our culture. He's a team guy that can play anywhere in the front half of the field. We are expecting Remi to come in right away and compete with an already special group."
