Hutch pulls way from Garden City in second half

Hutchinson, KS-A sloppy second half cost Garden City on Wednesday night. 

Katharina Marx scored two goals including the dagger in the 84th minute as Hutchinson beat the Broncbusters, 4-1. The loss dropped Garden City to 5-5-3 overall and 1-5-3 in conference play. 

Marx got the Blue Dragons on the board in the 21st minute when she deposited a nifty pass from Jayda White. The Broncbusters those grabbed the equalizer less than 12 minutes later when Jessica Newton weaved through the defense for an unassisted goal. It was 1-1 at the break. 

But the final 45 minutes was a different story. Kaitlyn Edwards gave Hutchinson the lead seven minutes into the second half. Adriana Delgado padded that cushion in the 79th minute before Marx sent a 25-yard rocket past Karime Silva for a 4-1 advantage in the 84th.

Hutchinson outshot Garden City, 13-9, and Silva had six saves.
