Meryeme Mai takes the Region VI crown in the women's 5k and 10k! She adds the 5k to her list of school records with a time of 18:03.95. Over 1 minute faster than the previous record!
Rhet Punt takes the Region VI Hammer Throw title with a mark of 58.84 meters (193')!
Julian Francis is the Jayhawk West Conference Champion in the Men's Decathlon, scoring 5,874 points of all the events combined, that score is almost 600 points a personal record for Francis!
Mekhila Sanders qualifies for the NJCAA Outdoor Women's Track and Field Championships in the 100 Meters with a school record breaking time of 11.85 seconds at the Region VI Championships this weekend! Sanders placed 6th in the conference in the 100 meter and 5th in the 200!
The men's 4x400 team placed 8th in the Region VI Championships and 4th in the Jayhawk West Conference with a time of 3:29.95, that team consisted of Camari Weaver, Don Kasigwa, Lucas Goasmat, and Daniel Aboagye.
Women's 4x400 meter relay placed 3rd in the Jayhawk West Conference and 6th in the Region VI Championships with a time of 4:07.73. That team consists of Mekhila Sanders, Antonicia Moultrie, Reid Harvey-McKean, and Priscilla Rose Wemba.
Antonicia Moultrie breaks her own school record in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a new personal record time of 1:02.13. She placed 2nd in at the Region VI Championships.
Don Kasigwa placed 7th in the Jayhawk West Conference with a 2:00.33 in the men's 800 at the Region VI Championships.
Daniel Aboagye placed 2nd in the Jayhawk West Conference and 4th in the Region VI Championships in the men's 800 meter with a time of 1:53.82.
Beverlyne Kiptarus placed 7th in the Region VI Championship and 5th in the Jayhawk West Conference in the 800 meters! She ran a new personal record of 2:23.85.
Priscilla Rose Wemba places 6th in the women's 400 meter in the Jayhawk West Conference at the Region VI Championships.
Marc Corpus placed 8th in the men's 1500 meters at the Region VI Championships in the Jayhawk West Conference.
Andreas Laursen placed 4th in the Jayhawk West Conference in the men's 1500 meter with a time of 4:08.30.
Lucas Goasmat placed 2nd in the men's 1500 meter in the Region VI Championships. He is also the conference champion!
Beverlyne Kiptarus placed 5th in the Region VI women's 1500 meter with a new personal record and school record of 5:00.69!
Then Men's 4x100 Meter Relay placed 4th in the Jayhawk West and 7th in the Region VI Championships. That relay consisted of Camari Weaver, Izzacc Simon, Nicolo Caccamo, and Myron Miller.
Reid Harvey-McKean placed 2nd in the Region and Conference at the Region VI Championships in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase.
Kyle Moore placed 4th in the Jayhawk West Conference in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase with almost a 1 minute personal record at the Region VI Championships.
Lee Cobb placed 6th in the men's triple jump in the Jayhawk West Conference at the Region VI Championships.
Joshua Martinez placed 2nd in the Jayhawk West Conference and 7th in the Region VI men's Pole Vault with a mark of 3.66 meters (12').
Taia Velasco placed 6th in the women's shot put in the Jayhawk West Conference at the Region VI Championships.
Meeca Castillo placed 5th in the women's high jump in the Jayhawk West Conference this weekend at the Region VI Championships.
Tomi Gall placed 8th in the Jayhawk West Conference with a hammer personal record of 42.34 meters!
Abby Gillen placed 6th at the Region VI Championships and 3rd in the Jayhawk conference in the high jump.
Nicolo Caccamo placed 3rd in the conference and 6th in the region in the 400 meter hurdles as well as 7th in the 110 meter hurdles.
