Track and field competes in Wichita and Nebraska
-Adama Faye had a stellar debut in the long jump, placing 6th overall with a mark of 6.69m (21'11.5"). -Markiet Loggins fell just short of the hitting national qualifying mark in High Jump, but was able to walk away placing 7th with a new personal best mark of 1.95m (6'4.75"). Teammate Edwin Rodriquez placed 12th in his debut with a mark of 1.80m (5'10.75"). -Zane Burns had a solid debut in the Heptathlon, finishing the competition in 10th place with a score of 3034 points. He currently sits top 16 in the nation for the event. -Jamie Miller had a solid weekend, setting a personal best in the 200m with a time of 23.40; good enough for 10th place. He also set a personal best in the 60m, clocking in a 7.27. -Jockque Randell set a new personal best in the 60meter hurdles with a time of 9.09, good enough for 12th place. -Ricardo Mijares had a solid weekend. In the 5K, we placed 15th with a time of 17:40.77. Mijares also came back and set a new personal best in the 3K, running a time of 10:11.32. Additional Personal Best Performances: Daniel Aguilar- 1K, 2:53.96 Huy Dinh- 400m, 1:11.35 Quinjerus Miles- 200m, 23.85 Jordan Myles- 60m, 7.15 Chauncey Rameriez- 200m, 25.22. 400m, 57.64 Jacob Romero- 60m, 7.23 Matt Veloz- Mile, 4:51.50 -Shareen Cheruiyot placed 3rd in the 5K with a time of 20:23.18. She also came back and ran a personal best in the 1K (3:30.14). -Kerrishma Williams had a pair of top 10 finishes. She placed 6th in her long jump debut with a mark of 4.87m (15'11.75") and placed 8th in the high jump with a personal best of 1.50m (4'11"). -Taylor Thorp had an impressive weekend. Thorp set an indoor personal best in the 5K, clocking in a 22:21.50, good enough for 9th place. She followed up that performance with a massive personal best of 12:27.04 in the 3K. Throwers at Charlie Foster Classic (Nebraska-Kearny)
-Charlie Russell was the top finisher for the Broncbusters in the men's shot put. Charlie placed 12th in his college debut with a mark of 12.07m (39'7.25"). Teammates Jayden Holson placed 11th (10.94m/ 35'10.75") and Kyle Attard placed 12th (10.57m/ 34'8.25") in his college debut.
-Jayden Holson was the top Broncbuster in the weight throw, throwing a new personal best mark of 12.21m (40'0.75") for 13th place. Kyle Attard placed 17th with a mark of 10.54m (34'7") and Charlie Russell placed 18th with a mark of 10.33m (39'10.75"). -Beatriz Ferriera was the top shot putter for the Broncbusters, placing 3rd with a new personal best of 13.14m (43'1.5"); improving her national qualifying mark. Serena Degollado (10.43m/34'2.75"), Cloe Kalanick (10.24m/33'7.25"), Abby Degnan (9.23m/30'3.5"), and Heidy Aguilar (8.17m/26'9.75") all placed top 15 in the event.
-Cloe Kalanick led the Broncbusters in the women's weight throw, throwing a new personal best mark of 13.71m (44'11.75") for 10th place. Beatriz placed 11th in her weight throw debut with a mark of 13.25m (43'5.75"). Serena Degollado placed 13th (11.88m/38'11.75") and Abby Degnan (9.99m/32'9.5") placed 15th with a new personal best
