Broncbusters crush Lamar, move to 2-0

Lamar, CO-It was a strong finish for Oscar Zelaya's bunch.  

After surrendering a goal in the first nine minutes, Garden City scored four unanswered including a pair by Vitor Mendonca on their way to a 4-1 victory over Lamar on Wednesday afternoon.  

The Broncbusters improved to 2-0 for a second straight year. They have outscored their first two opponents by a combined 7-1. 

Following Can Castellon's unassisted goal in the ninth minute that put the Lopes up, 1-0, Jaden Grant notched his second score of the season just three minutes later off a beautiful cross from Yanis Aubaret. 

Mendonca got on the board in the 38th minute when Adrian Campbell found him all alone in the box. He added another one before the half before Felipe Pugas put the match away seven minutes into the final period.  

Garden City outshot Lamar, 8-6.
