La Junta, CO-Conner Balmer homered and knocked in four runs, Sage Hurley had three hits, and Garden City snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 15-6 win over Otero on Tuesday afternoon.
Roy Higinbotham struck out five over three innings for the Broncbusters, which improved to 17-23 overall. Jace Reid tossed two innings of scoreless relief.
Leading 3-1, Garden City got the offense rolling in the sixth. Sean Togher walked with the bases loaded, and Karson Evans doubled home two to make it 5-1. Cody Kilpatrick followed with an RBI single, Balmer doubled to left-center, and Mayson Tafoya ripped a two-run base hit to cap off an eight-run inning that gave the visitors an 11-1 advantage.
Balmer then crushed a two-run homer in the seventh.
