Garden City, KS- The Busters take Game 2 today against the Monarchs by a score of 8-7. Game 2 was back and forth between both teams hitting home run after home run but the Busters come out on top to improve to 33-11.
The Busters were led by Sean Kennedy who was 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs which includes his 2 run homer to give the Busters a lead late in the game. Followed behind him was Mason Brown who was also 2 for 2 and CJ Krainock who went 1 for 4 but had a 3 run shot to left field in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
The Monarchs were led by Jordan Moon who was 4 for 4 from the plate with 1 RBI and 2 runs.
Game 3 went to the Busters as well by a score of 19-9. The game ended in the 7th inning on a dropped fly ball brining in a run which gave the Busters the 10 run mercy rule.
Sean Kennedy again stepped up in game 3 going 3 for 3 with an RBI and 4 runs. Alex Nielson also joined in going 4 for 4 with 5 RBIs and 2 runs which includes his 3 run home run early in the game.
MCC Longview looked to Nate Hunter who was 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs in game 3.
The Busters improve their overall record to 34-11. Game 4 scheduled for 1:00 PM is cancelled with threat of inclement weather.
