Bio

Adam Shrimplin is in his second year as the Creative Director/Assistant Sports Information Director at Garden City Community College. Previously, he served as Official Photographer for GCCC in addition to his full-time position as a GIS Technician for Finney County. 

A Garden City native, Adam Shrimplin was born and raised in Southwest Kansas. After graduating from Garden City High School, Adam went on to pursue his passion for photography at Garden City Community College, serving as photo editor for GC3 Media. After a short period of time as a staff photographer for Kansas State University, Adam returned to Garden City and began building his own photography business. Using his knowledge and skill, Adam developed relationships with local schools, businesses, and news organizations and began providing coverage of a variety of events from youth sports to breaking news. Since his return to Garden City in 2009, Adam has been able to cover various professional sporting events such as MLB, NFL, UFC, and NASCAR and has been published worldwide for coverage of local news events. 

In recent years, Adam has expanded his photography business, Shrimplin Photography, into a sports broadcasting company, Southwest Kansas Sports Network. 

Adam’s wife, Breckan, works for USD 457 as an early childhood special education teacher. Together, they have one son, Callen (6). They have two dogs, Finch and Honeybee.
