Three volleyball players sign
Garden City, KS-Three Broncbuster volleyball players signed national letters of intent on Wednesday.
Setter Madison Park is headed to Indiana Tech, defensive specialist Tishara Hicks inked with Webster University, and middle back Tijana Simovic signed with Southeastern Louisiana.
"I felt comfortable with the coaching staff," said Park, who led Garden City with 561 assists during her sophomore season. She had a season-best 38 in a victory over Dodge City on October 13.
Hicks, who is a redshirt freshman from Clarksville, TN, was the backbone on defense for Garden City during the 2017 season.
"I chose Webster because it's closest to my house," Hicks said. "I'm tired of planes, and Webster seemed like a really good fit."
Simovic, who grew up in Serbia and transferred from Odessa, appeared in all but one game during her sophomore campaign.
"I like the coaches and the girls," Simovic said. "And it was the best situation for my academic future."
Simovic also had an offer from Marshall University.
"Southeastern Louisiana was a better choice, and they have better food," Simovic said with a smile.
