Tiumalu and Martinez highlight all-conference team
Garden City, KS-It was a second-half to remember with Garden City volleyball winning nine out of their final 14 matches, which included the program's first postseason victory in a half decade.
That winning continued on Monday as three Broncbusters were named to the All-Jayhawk team.
Sophomore outside hitter Shaney Tiumalu and sophomore libero Bailey Martinez were selected to the all-conference second team while freshman middle back Harlee Davis was an honorable mention.
Tiumalu finished 31st in the country with 332 kills. She reached double digits 13 times including a season-best 21 vs. Clarendon on Sept. 30.
For Martinez, it was the second straight year the star libero finished in the top 10 in digs (she was fourth in the country with 622). Davis had a splendid rookie campaign, showing the all-around game with 146 kills, 49 digs and team-high 56 blocks.
