Broncbuster volleyball wins two out of three
Lamar, CO-Garden City is coming off their best stretch of the season.
The Broncbusters beat Cloud County in straight sets on Friday before splitting their two matches Saturday—beating Lamar 25-19, 14-25, 25-23 and 27-25. They lost to Clarendon 26-28, 20-25, 25-16, 25-16 and 11-15.
"We;ve seen a lot of improvement from the girls over the past couple of weeks," Head Coach Jacquelynne Matula said.
On Friday, Shaney Tiamulu recorded 10 kills for the Broncbusters, who recorded their first straight-set victory since opening night. Kaylee Line had eight kills and Maddie Park16 assists.
On Saturday, Garden City lost their opener to Clarendon, fighting back from two sets down to force a desivice frame. Tiamulu had 21 kills and Park tallied 33 assists.
In their finale on Saturday, the Broncbusters rolled through Lamar in four sets. Bailey Martinez led the way with 13 digs.
Garden City is back at home on Wednesday hosting Butler. Match time set for 6:30 p.m.
