Hannah Duncan scored the go-ahead goal in overtime, and Garden City beat Neosho, 4-3 Saturday afternoon. The Broncbusters improved to 6-9-1 overall and 1-8-1 in conference play.
This match went back and forth all day. After Carys Grieve put Garden City ahead 1-0 34 minutes into the contest, Alicia Gonzales tied the match less than 10 minutes later. Then, early in the second half, Destiny Rojo sent a perfect pass to Grieve, whose second goal of the day made it 2-1 Garden City. Once the Panthers netted the equalizer in the 68th minute, Anahi Castillo put the Broncbusters back in front with a score in the 83rd. But again, Neosho tied the match when Maria Campanico snuck a ball past Karime Silva.
Two minutes into overtime, Nancy Espino sent a cross off a corner kick that Duncan deposited for the game winner.
The Broncbusters won the match despite being outshot, 10-9. Silva recorded six saves.
