Barton completes season sweep of Broncbusters
Great Bend, KS-Not even Stevi Yancy's brilliant first-half shooting display could snap the Broncbuster losing streak.
Jenny Womsi finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, Morgan Meyers added 19 points, and No. 19 Barton defeated Garden City, 58-48 Wednesday night at the Kirkman Center. It was the Broncbusters fifth straight loss, dropping them to 7-12 overall and 3-10 in conference play.

The Cougars flipped the game in the third quarter. Trailing 28-27 at the break, Barton outscored Garden City 17-6 in the period. Garden City's poor second half wiped away a solid second period in which Garden City erased an 11-point deficit thanks in large part to Yancy. The freshman drilled a triple from the left wing followed by another long ball from the top that pulled the Broncbusters within three, 23-20. Moments later, Yancy hit from deep again, this time drifting to her right from the right wing. The next time down, Anuoluwapo Olorumay grabbed an offensive rebound and kicked it back out to Yancy, who swished a 23-footer to give the Broncbusters a 25-23 lead with 1:52 to play. It was all part of a second quarter in which Garden City outscored the Cougars, 20-11.
Dayshawna Carter was the lone Broncbuster starter in double figures with 20 points. Demi Black chipped in seven points and two seals.
