Garden City, KS-When it mattered most, Jada Washington showed her true colors.
On Monday, the sophomore point guard was rewarded, being named an All-Region VI honorable mention.
Washington led the Broncbusters in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game, this while playing the fifth most minutes of any player in the Jayhawk Conference. Her 1.5 assist to turnover ratio was seventh best in the region, and her 3.3 dimes per game ranked sixth in the conference.
Washington saved her best for crunch time vs. Hutchinson on Feb. 7. The sophomore went off, scoring the final 14 points for her team, as the Broncbusters won in the Sports Arena for the first time in 15 years. She reached double figures 17 times and hit the 20-point plateau twice, including a season-best 24 vs. the Blue Dragons.
