Broncbuster men take fifth at Fort Hays State Rodeo
Hays, KS-The Broncbuster men took fifth place at the Fort Hays State Rodeo over the weekend.
Ean Price led the men's team by taking the long go with 75 points in saddle bronc riding. He was fourth in the short and split first and second in the average.
Ricky Garcia and Trevor Meier were eighth in the long go of team roping, timing out at 8.7 seconds. They clocked an 8.1 in the short, but broke the barrier and took a 10-second penalty-dropping them to sixth. They were sixth in the average.
Southeastern Oklahoma State won the men's team title with Panhandle State coming in second. Jade Taton from Panhandle state won the all-around competition.
The women's team did not have anyone in the short go, and Oklahoma State won the team title. Oklahoma State's McKenna McNeil won the women's all-around.
Both men's and women's teams are sitting in eighth place in the region standings.
Garden City closes out the season Thursday at Panhandle State.
