Bennett spectacular; Broncbuster women take fourth at Southwestern
Weatherford, OK-The Broncbuster women took fourth and the men 11th at the Southwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo over the weekend.
Kylee Bennett paced the women's team by splitting sixth, seventh and eighth place in the long go of goat tying (8.2 seconds). She won the short (8 seconds) and finished second in the average behind Amber Peterson from Panhandle State.
Payton Welsh was 10th in the long go of goat tying (8.5 seconds), ninth in the short (9.3) and finished ninth in the average.
Trevor Meier split third and fourth place in steer wrestling (5.4 seconds) but took a no time in the short. He finished seventh in the average.
Northwestern Oklahoma State won the men's team title with Panhandle State finishing second.
Oklahoma State took first in the women's team standings with Panhandle State and Southwestern Oklahoma State rounding out the top three.
