Kenzie Jones leads Broncbuster women to best showing of the season
Weatherford, OK-The Broncbuster rodeo team competed at Southwestern Oklahoma State over the weekend.
The women's team had their best outing of the season, thanks in large part to Kenzie Jones, who won the all-around cowgirl buckle. The team finished third behind Southeastern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Panhandle State.
Jones split fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth place in the long go of the breakaway roping with a 2.9-second run. She followed that up by roping her short-go calf in 3.3 seconds to split second and third in that round while taking third in the average. She also split second and third place in the long go of goat tying, taking seventh place in the short go while splitting fourth, fifth and sixth places in the average.
The men's team placed 13th. Ean Price took sixth in the long go of saddle bronc riding. He was disqualified in the short go for missing hits mark out, and finished in eighth place in the average.
