Challenger and Liburd sensational in Iowa
Des Moines, IA-Jonathan Challenger and James Liburd have been leading the men's track team all season long.
Nothing changed on Saturday in Iowa.
The two finished 1 and 2 respectively in the 200-meter dash at the 2017 Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake University. Both qualified for nationals.
Challenger also finished second in the 100 meters while Trey McClary and Elijah Clark were eighth and ninth in the same event. Liburd took home the crown in the 400 meters with a time of 47.28. His teammate Anthony Dawson came in third.
Other places included Denim Rogers, who came in second in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.22; Quincy Watts was fourth 15.43, Ricardo Colas was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles, the 4x100 relay team finished second behind Drake while the 4x400 team came in fifth.
