Record-breaking day for Quincy watts and the Broncbusters
Overland Park, KS-When Quincy Watts first arrived on campus more than a year ago, his aspirations were to play football. But if Friday proved anything it was this: Watts apparently has a calling of a different kind.
Watts shattered the school record in the 60 meter hurdles, taking home the top spot with a time of 8.28 seconds, edging out Butler's Colling Reichengerber at the Cavalier Relays. He was also took first in the long jump.
Other participants: Elijah Clark placed fifth in the 60-meter dash; Denim Rogers and Tre McClary finished 10th and 11th in the 200-meter dash; Jonathan Challenger was 12th in the 40--meter dash while Rodney Hentry raced his way to a first-place finish in the 800-meter run. Frank Bearden was fifth in the 1,000 meters; Eduardo Ortiz seventh in the one-mile; Denim Rogers third in the high jump.
