Broncbusters just miss the cut for nationals
Newton, KS-The Broncbuster golf team just missed out on qualifying for Nationals.
Garden City finished sixth at the District III Championships at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Indian Hills won the team title, and Dodge City was the top finisher in Region VI.
Indian Hills' Julien Sale took home the individual championship with a blister 14-under par. He was followed by teammate Joe Kim, who was 9-under and George Clarke who came in at 7-under. Dodge City's Nick Kagy was the highest finisher from a Jayhawk school, shooting 6-under.
George Avgousti, who was sitting in prime position to qualify for nationals, just missed his mark finishing 21 after shooting 6-over. He finished 21st after firing a 72 in the third round.
Evan McBride was 25th at 10-over, Jake Bay 26th at 11-over, and Jordan Parsons finished 35th.
