Broncbusters climb the mountain in Jayhawk No. 2
Andover, KS-The Garden City golf team continues to show promise in 2017.
Monday was another perfect example of that.
The Broncbusters placed fourth place at the Jayhawk No. 2 at Terradyne Country Club while Dominic Pollock shot a final-round 73 to finish tied for sixth individually.
"These guys are starting to figure it out," Head Coach John Green Said. "We've got some really talented guys."
Pollock shaved three strokes off of his score from the opening round to the finale. His teammate Jordan Parsons came in 14th at 8-over par with Nathan Roy right behind with a 151. Luke Russell and Jordan Bishop both shot 10-over.
"These guys are carrying a lot of momentum right now," Green said. "That's very important."
As a team, the Broncbusters finished two shots back of third-place Hutchinson with a 599. Third-ranked Dodge City won the event with a 576.
