Busters Win Jayhawk #1 Tournament
First ever Jayhawk Tournament Win in Program History Come from 3rd to 1st
Manhattan, KS-John Green's Busters claimed Garden City's first ever Jayhawk Tournament winning the 2016 Jayhawk #1 Tournament with a team score of 627.
Green's Busters were in third place after the first 18 with a score of 323. Hutchinson led with 313 while Dodge City shot 320.
In the second eighteen garden City improved 19 strokes with a score of 304 to claim the Jayhawk #1 Tournament. Hutchinson finished 2nd with a 628 as they shot 315 and Dodge City finished 3rd with an overall score of 330 shooting 310 in the second eighteen.
Skyler Tebo led the way for Garden City with a 77-74. Dominic Pollock fired a 78-74, Mac McNish went 83-76 and Luke Russell shot 86-80 to round out the declared scorers.
Carter Lewis shot 83-74 and Jordan Bishop tallied 85-84.
Rounding out the team scoring was Barton County-650, Kansas City Kansas-677, Coffeyville-707, Allen County-722 and Independence-762
The Busters return to action on Monday April, 11th when they compete in the Jayhawk #2 at Cottonwood Falls Golf Course in Hutchinson, KS.
