Broncbusters move up to No. 7

Garden City, KS-Following their decisive 52-24 victory over Dodge City on Saturday, the Broncbusters moved up three spots in the first regular-season NJCAA poll, released on Wednesday.
Garden City was ranked seventh after starting the season 10th in the preseason polls. The Broncbusters totaled 205 points, three back of sixth-ranked Blinn. East Mississippi remains No. 1 followed by Iowa Western, who garnered four first-place votes. Snow, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Northwest Mississippi round out the top five.
The Broncbusters are the highest ranked Jayhawk-Conference program after Hutchinson knocked off fifth-ranked Independence in week two. The Blue Dragons jumped to No. 11 this week.
Garden City has been ranked in 22 out of the last 26 polls
The Broncbusters started 2018 with a bang, producing one of the best ground attacks in program history. Dedrick Mills ran for 267 yards and three scores while Charles West totaled 201 yards and two touchdowns. In all, the brown and gold tallied 490 rushing yards, second most in a single game in the history of the school. It was also the first time ever two running backs hit 200 yards or more in the same game.
