Broncbuster men take third at Central Kansas Classic
Wichita, KS-The Broncbuster men finished third, and Jack Dyer tied for second at the Central Kansas Classic played at Turkey Creek Golf Course.
Dyer, the freshman from the United Kingdom, was sensational, carding a 4-under 66 over 36 holes. He was the opening-round leader at 4-under, which included a fantastic back-nine where he shot minus-3. He birdied 12, 13, and 14; then knocked in an eagle on 15. He shot even par in round two.
Tiaan Diedricks, who was part of the national qualifying team last year, tied for fifth at 1-over bouncing back from a plus-3 73 over the first 18 to sink four birdies on the front in the second round. He shot 2-under to finish at 71 for the tournament.
Meantime Chanon James tied for 10th at 5-over while Max Lapidaire tied for 47th at 20-over, and Jack Koksal was 55th at plus-23.
Barton won the team title, and the Cougars Alex Bolander captured the individual crown, beating out Dyer by one stroke.
