Women take the field in Goodland; Roemer nearly breaks course record
Goodland, KS-Garden City's resurgence in cross country in 2017 has been fueled by transfer Sandra Szpott.
But even without her, Ray Putnam's team is really good.
The Broncbusters finished with a perfect score, taking the team title at the Northwest Kansas Tech Invite on Friday with Hannah Roemer falling just short of setting the course record with a time of 21:37.
Lourdes Covarrubia turned in a sensational performance with a time of 23:15 while Zoe Engler was right behind her at 23:51. Ann Marie Jones came in at 24:17.
