Broncbuster rodeo competes at Oklahoma State

Stillwater, OK-The Broncbuster men's team took 12th place at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Stampede over the weekend.
Colton Bond paced the men by splitting 10th, 11th and 12th place in tie-down roping with a 10.1-second run. He was a 12.3, finishing eighth in the short go, and eighth in the average. He also teamed up with Trevor Meier from Oklahoma Panhandle State to take sixth in the long go of team roping with a time of 6.8. They posted a run of 8.4 seconds in the short to win sixth in that round. The duo finished sixth in the average.
Meier took sixth place in the long go of steer wrestling but was unable to catch his steer in the short go and received a no time. He finished ninth in the average.
On the women's side, Cassidy Blank posted a time of 2.8 seconds in breakaway roping, just shy of making the short go.
Next up: Garden City travels to Alva, OK for the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo Oct. 28, 29, and 30.
