DeSchutter claims second straight tourney title; Garden City runner up at Crestview

Wichita, KS-Anthony DeSchutter is putting together quite the fall semester.
The sophomore posted a 6-under par, claiming the individual title at the 2022 Crestview Invitational at Crestview Country Club. It was his second straight tournament victory while his team finished second behind Friends University.
DeSchutter's second round showing was the best of the field. He posted four birdies on the back-nine and an eagle on No. 6, a 495-yard par-5. He was 5-under for the round. He posted a 69 in the opening round where he birdied three straight holes (12, 13, and 14).
Teammate Joshua Balson-Scales tied for second at even-par with his best showing coming during Tuesday's final round. After shooting 1-over on the front, he birdied three of the first four holes on the backside. Then after parring 14, 15, 16, and 17, the sophomore birdied 18 to finish the day 3-under. This came after back-to-back rounds where he shot over par (plus-1 and plus-2).
Akarachai Sakunlee tied for 23rd at 18-over, Jacob Granmark was 33rd, Tiaan Diedericks tied for 45th, and Hampus Ridderfelt came in 52nd. As a team, the Broncbusters finished plus-34.
