Garden City, KS-The Broncbuster golf team is slowly climbing their way up the national rankings.
Garden City moved up three spots to 12th in the final NJCAA poll of the fall season released on Friday.
The Broncbusters finished 12th at the NJCAA Fall Preview last week in Odessa with Vincent Wilhelm coming in 26th at 4-under.
Overall, Phil Terpstra watched his team show out during a successful first semester. Wilhelm powered the Broncbusters to a team title at the Central Christian open to begin the season. That got the Broncbusters plenty of recognition, landing at No. 16 in the first poll. They followed that up with a sixth-place finish at the High County Shootout in Ruidoso, NM where Adam Samnegard fired a 7-under par. The freshman also turned some heads with an eighth-place showing against NCAA schools at the South Central Fall Preview.
The Broncbusters have the next three months off before opening the spring season in March.
