Garden City rolls through Pima

Roswelll, NM-For the second straight season, the Garden City women's volleyball team won their season opener. And they did it in dominating fashion.

Sophomore returner Bailey Martinez led the way with 25 digs as the Broncbusters squashed Pima 25-23, 25-16 and 25-23.

"I'm very proud of these girls," Head Coach Jacquelynne Matula said afterwards. "It was a little bit of a roller coaster, but we were consistent enough to get the win."

Western Nebraska transfer Shaney Tiumalu was the Broncbusters leading hitter with 13 kills in 20 attempts. Ashley Brown added five.

"These girls played well in certain spots," Matula added.

Madison Park led the way with 13 assists.
