Broncbuster women compete at Friends; Crosby qualifies for nationals
Wichita, KS-The Broncbuster women's team competed in the Friends University Spring Open.
Lanecia Crosby qualified for nationals on her first attempt in the long jump, leaping 5.58 meters. She came in 16th in the 100 meters and seventh in the triple jump.
Lillie Burnett ran a personal best in the 400 meters, placing fourth with a time of 58.31 seconds. She took fifth in the 100 meters and 13th in the 200 meters (26.22 seconds).
Meosha Erving was ninth in the 100 meters, clocking a time of 12.43 seconds. She was 17th in the 200 meters (26.40 seconds).
Arhianna Franklin finished 12th in the 100-meter hurdles, coming in at 16.28 seconds. She was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles.
As a team, Garden City finished 16th. Iowa Western won the event.
Garden City next heads to Lawrence for the Kansas Relays on April 17.
