4x100 relay team sets season mark at KU Relays

Lawrence, KS-The Garden City women's track team competed in the 90th annual KU Relays.
The 4x100 relay team finished in third place, posting a season-best time of 47.96. Nya Gatluak continued her outstanding campaign, placing sixth in the triple jump.
Other finishers included Kristian Ruiz, who came in 17th in the 100-meter hurdles. Ilishia Tarver came in 14th.
The other half of Garden City's team competed in the Tabor College Invitational. Hannah Roemer took home 15th place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:35.72 while Kyaunna Libby's 2:36.68 was good for 18th in the 800 meters.
Next up: Garden City will be back in action on Thursday May 4 at the Region VI track meet. Outdoor nationals are set for May 18-20.
