Dodge City downs Garden City

Dodge City, KS-During a tough stretch, the Broncbusters have had their chances. Saturday, minus two bad innings, the same held true.
Dodge City broke open a 4-4 game with a four-run sixth to take game two 8-4 and plated seven runs in the second inning to win the opener 10-1 in five at Conquistadors Field.
The Broncbusters scored first in game one, getting a two-out, RBI single from Bailee Muxlow-Volk in the first for a 1-0 lead.
Dodge City (23-11, 11-7) tied the game in the bottom half when Taylor Menard's bunt single scored Brittney Gonzalez from third.
Everything from there remains a blur.
The Conquistadors opened things up in the second. The first four hitters reached with Sabrina Romero singling home a run and Baylee Rial tripling home two. Gonzalez added an RBI groundout, Brooklyn Botts drew a bases-loaded walk and Adreanna Guerrero smoked a two-out, two-run single for an 8-1 lead. Guerrero would single home two more in the fourth to put it away.
Samantha Akers took the loss in the circle, allowing 10 earned runs on 12 hits in four innings. She walked two while Kim Herron went five strong for Dodge City, earning the win with a seven-hitter.
Game two started exactly the same way as the opener. Leisha Nakagawa singled home Rebekah Roberts in the first for a 1-0 Garden City lead.
Dodge City fought back to tie the game in the bottom half on Menard's sacrifice before Erica Vessels pushed the Broncbusters back on top with a three-run home run in the top of the fifth.
The Conquistadors tied the game again in the fifth when Gonzalez hit an RBI single and scored on an error by Taylore Hartman while Guerrero followed with a run-scoring double. Dodge City then put the game away in the sixth when Romero drilled an RBI triple, Rial added a run-scoring double and Menard singled home one to make it 8-4.
Herron came on in relief and worked around a leadoff single by Nicole Milford in the seventh by getting three straight line outs to end the game.
Jordyn McDaniel earned the victory for Dodge City, allowing four earned runs on eight hits in five innings. Desiree Perea took the loss, allowing four earned runs on 10 hits in 5 and 2/3 innings.
