Broncbuster men place fifth in Durant
Durant, OK-The Garden City men finished fifth at the Southeastern Oklahoma State rodeo over the weekend.
Ean Price paced the Broncbusters, taking sixth in the long go of saddle-bronc riding and third in the short. He took third in the average while also pairing with Taylor Munsell in team roping and taking third in the long go. The tandem finished sixth in the average.
Trevor Meier was third in the long go of calf roping but his calf did not stay tied down long enough in the short. That dropped him to seventh in the average.
The women's team failed to score any points. Jada Burgman was sixth, seventh and eighth in the long go of goat tying; took a no time in the short and finished 10th in the avearge.
Her teammate Kenzie Jones split seventh and eighth in the long go of barrel racing, took ninth in the short after knocking over a barrel and took ninth in the average.
Garden City is back in action at the Oklahoma State rodeo on Thursday, Oct. 11.
