Broncbusters place fifth at Colbert Hills
Manhattan, KS-The Bronbuster golf team finished fifth at Colbert Hills on Monday, shooting a combined 628, while Asher Owens tied for 18th at 12-over par.
Owens shot back-to-back rounds of 78 on the par-72 course. His teammate Evan McBride fired a first-round 78 before shooting an 80 in round two. He finished one stroke behind Owens, and placed 23rd.
Jordan Parsons and Bryce Wharton tied for 25th. The duo shot a 158 total with Wharton tallying a 77 (5-over-par) in the final round. Shaydon Johnson was 30th, Jake Bay 37th and George Avgousti 39th.
Dodge City won the event by 12 strokes over Barton County, and Conquistadors leader Nick Kagy won the individual title.
Garden City is back in action on Sunday, April 8 at Terradyne Country Club in Wichita.
