NJCAA District III Wild Horse Golf Course RESULTS
Gothenburg, NE-John Green's Busters finished in 5th place in the NJCAA District III Championships held at Wild Horse Golf Course. Garden City shot 306, 298 & 293 totaling 897 in the 2 day venue. Indian Hills finished in 1st place at even par.
Garden City showed its flashes of brilliance today finishing in the top spot in the final 18. The Busters shot 293 edging out District III Champions Indian Hills by 1 stroke as they shot 294 respectively.
Skyler Tebo came away with District III honors placing in the Top 5 in the individual championship. He finished 3rd place overall at one under par (70-73-72). Jackson Bugdaiski finished 6 under (72-68-70) claiming the individual District III Title.
Tebo and Teammate Carter Lewis received All-Region 1st team and Luke Russell received second team honors. Carter, 13th overall finishing 8 over (76-73-74) par. Russell finished 12 over par (78-74-76) and tied for 23rd.
John Green on his Busters, "We fought back to win the last 18. We are a team right now that knows how to fight back, it an excellent trait but we got to start out fighting. We have a chance to get into Nationals with an at large bid. This team intrigues many people. That is a good thing."
