Garden City, KS-Garden City's Jamir Thomas closed his strong Broncbuster career with more postseason accolades on Monday.
The sophomore was named as an Honorable Mention on the All-Region VI team, marking the second straight season that he was selected to the squad.
Thomas led the team in both scoring (14.6 per game) and rebounds (7.3 per game) while posting five double-doubles, including a 23-point, 11-rebound effort in a 90-77 win over Barton on Feb. 24. He scored 29 in the Broncbusters upset victory over No. 22 Hutchinson.
For the season, Thomas tallied 20 or more six times and reached double figures in 21 contests. He finished 15th in the conference in scoring, 12th in blocks, sixth in rebounds and 12th in field goal percentage.
Thomas signed a National Letter of intent with Youngstown State back in November, reuniting with former Broncbuster Coach Brady Trenkle, who is an assistant coach for the Penguins.
