Broncbusters land two on All-Conference team

Garden City, KS-The Broncbuster men landing two players on the All-Jayhawk team.
Forward Jamir Thomas was named to the second team, and guard Russhard Cruickshank was an honorable mention.
Thomas led the team in both scoring (14.6 per game) and rebounds (7.3 per game) while posting five double-doubles including a 23-point, 11-rebound effort in a 90-77 win over Barton on Feb. 24. He scored 29 in the Broncbusters upset victory over No. 22 Hutchinson. For the season, Thomas tallied 20 or more six times and reached double figures in 21 contests. He finished 15th in the conference in scoring, 12th in blocks, sixth in rebounds and 12th in field goal percentage.
Cruickshank finished the season averaging 13.4 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 38.7 percent from the field and 33.8 from 3. He knocked down 75 long balls, second most in the conference behind Neosho's Magic Reliford. Cruickshank dished out 2.4 assists per contest and was 19th in the Jayhawk in steals with 41. His best game of the season came on Feb. 16 vs. Dodge City, where he scored 25 points on 5-of-10 from downtown. It was one of five 20-point outings during the year, which saw him reach double figures 23 times.
