Minter and Phillips earn weekly honors

Garden City, KS-The Broncbusters historic season has had several highlights along the way. On Wednesday they added two more. '
Runningback Tra Minter was named the Jayhawk Conference offensive player of the week while linebacker Delshawn Phillips won defensive player of the week honors.
Minter ran for a career-best 234 yards, including two 50-yard runs in the first half vs. Fort Scott. His second-quarter touchdown run gave the Broncbusters a 21-point advantage.
"Tra has been tremendous all season long," Head Coach Jeff Sims said. "But a lot of the credit goes to the offensive line."
Phillips spearheaded a defense that held the conference's leading passer to just 141 yards through the air. He also recorded 15 tackles.
