Six Broncbuster baseball players made All-Academic Team
Garden City, KS-While Chris Finnegan continues to put together winning teams on the field, his players are making headway off of it.
Six Broncbusters: Austin Stone, Connor Burns, Mitchell Savine, Nicholas Ulmer, Reid Effrein and Billy Clark, were named to the NJCAA All-Academic team.
Stone, who dealt with injuries last season, landed on the second team with a grade point average above 3.80. He appeared in only three games on the bump during his freshman campaign.
Also landing on the second team was Savine, a pitcher who solidified himself in Finnegan's bullpen, along with Effrein.
Burns, a sophomore hurler, made the third team with a GPA north of 3.60. He was 6-2 with a 4.97 ERA with 51 strikeouts. Ulmer, a reliever, and Clark, an outfielder who hit .349 with seven home runs and 29 RBI, were also on the third team.
