Garden City, KS- The Busters finish game 1 of their four game series against Butler Community College and the Grizzlies take the game 3-0. The Busters are now 23-7 as this game snaps their five game winning streak.
Despite not scoring there was a bright spot for the Busters in the form of Kyle Lopez who was 3 for 3 from the plate all of which were singles. CJ Krainock was also 1 for 1 from the plate.
Grant Ware led the way for the Grizzlies as he went 2 for 3 from the dish with an RBI.
In Game 2 the Busters came back to beat Butler 3-2. The Busters are now 24-7 overall and 12-4 at home.
Alex Nielsen was the hero in game 2 for the Busters as he went 2 for 4 from the plate with an RBI and scored 1 run. Kyle Lopez picked up where he left off in game 1 as he went 2 for 3 in game 2.
For the Grizzlies Channing Williams led the way going 2 for 5 with and RBI. Butler gave a scare at the end but the Busters hold on thanks to Ray Monje striking out the last batter to preserve the 3-2 win.
