Garden City, KS-Garden City jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening inning but it was not enough as Colby claimed Game III 6-4. Despite the two run blast from Sean Kennedy in the opening inning Garden City's bats cooled as Colby would creep back in scoring two runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Garden City allowed an unearned run in the top of the ninth allowing Colby to go ahead 6-5. Garden City scored it's fifth run on a wild pitch. Austin Isle's seventh inning triple paid off for Colby as Brian Glanton followed with an RBI single that tied the game at five.
Aeneas Roberson lead the Busters scoring two runs and going 2-3 from the dish including two doubles.
In Game IV Garden City downed Colby in seven innings 9-1. The Busters remained tied with Colby for third place in the Jayhawk West at 5-3. Barton County sits atop the Jayhawk West at 7-0 and Hutchinson is alone in second at 5-1.
Brooks Benson led the Busters in Game IV. Benson scored 2 runs and went 1-3 from the plate and tallied 2 RBI's.
The Busters are 19-6 overall and travel to Cloud County Saturday. The T-Birds are currently 1-7 in league and 3-18 overall. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
