Garden City, KS - Connor Burns got the nod in game two of the doubleheader. Burns went three innings giving up two runs, one earned, on five hits. The freshman right-hander struck out four and walked one before handing it off to freshman Noah Foreman. Foreman went three innings to earn his first collegiate win. The freshman did not allow a hit in his relief appearance, but worked around three walks and two hit batters to earn the win.
Rafael Villela got the offense started with a triple in the bottom of the first, and finished the day 2 for 4 with a RBI and two runs scored. Following the triple by Villela, Mason Brown and Kyle Lopez doubled in back to back at-bats to drive in the first two runs of the game. Jesse Gonzales capped off the scoring in the first inning with a two-out single to left-center field.
Alex Nielsen was 2 for 3 with a double, run scored, and a RBI.
The success of the Broncbusters bullpen continued as they gave up one unearned run in six innings of work.
